Stream Your Social Media Infrastructure

by Social Media Commando on January 21, 2010

Web TV is exploding, and it’s all Twitter’s fault.

In the past when you wanted to broadcast live you had to get the word out using more traditional methods of communication, like e-mail (wow, is e-mail ‘traditional communication’ now?).

Now you can use your f-r-e-e streaming web TV channel to attract live viewers using real time technologies like Twitter and, uhh…Twitter.

Do It Live On Camera

The easiest way to grow your streaming show is by seeding updates on Twitter before you go live. Tell people what the topic of the show is, use a little panache by writing a thoughtful/exciting headline and use relevant hash tags to grow viewership. That’s what I do every Wednesday before I broadcast on Ustream at 7pm EST.

Don’t forget to share links of the videos you capture on Twitter too!

All you need to do is click ‘broadcast’ and ‘record’ at the same time and Ustream captures a recording of your show to syndicate on YouTube and let people watch on Ustream at their leisure. What you’re really doing is building a library of video content to share with people, bring them ‘into the tent’, and convert them into raving fans. These fans are the foundation of your audience, and businesses pay lots of money to command audiences you can deliver.
